Ireland’s construction workforce connection platform

Construction labour.
When you need it.

Dayworks.ie is a professional-to-professional construction workforce network.

We connect contractors, fit-out companies, facilities companies, trade contractors and other construction-related businesses with verified trade professionals when additional skilled labour is needed.

Dayworks is a business service and is not available for private domestic or household work.

€70 + VAT per contractor connection. Paid when you activate your request.

You pay once to activate the Dayworks search for a suitable contractor for one contractor connection. If Dayworks cannot make a suitable contractor connection for your paid requirement, you can request a refund of the applicable Connection Fee in accordance with our Business Terms. Contractor labour charges are agreed separately between the businesses.

Who Dayworks is for

Built for the Construction Industry

Dayworks exists for professional organisations that periodically need additional skilled trade capacity. Whether a programme is tight, a crew member is out, or a project simply needs more people for a stretch, we help construction businesses put verified trade professionals on site without holding them on the books between jobs.

Core users of Dayworks include main contractors, builders, fit-out contractors, trade contractors and subcontractors, facilities and property management companies, maintenance contractors, developers and other legitimate businesses and organisations operating in the construction and commercial maintenance sector.

Dayworks is a professional-to-professional network. We do not accept requests for private domestic or household work.

Why businesses call us

Get the Job Over the Line

Every site hits moments where one more pair of hands makes the difference. Dayworks helps contractors and organisations bring in exactly the capacity they need, whether that is one additional trade professional or a small crew, for the days or weeks that matter.

01

Unexpected absence

A painter or electrician calls in sick the night before a handover. We help put a verified replacement on site so the programme holds.

02

Programme delays

Weather, snags or late deliveries push a phase out. Bring in extra carpenters for a fit-out or painters for a final finish to pull the dates back in.

03

Tight deadlines

A completion date will not move. Adding even one experienced trade professional, or a small crew for final fix and decoration, helps get the job over the line on time.

04

Increased workload

A contract is won and the workload steps up overnight. Top up your existing team with electrical fit-out or joinery capacity for as long as the project needs it.

05

Short-term labour shortages

Recruiting takes weeks you do not have. Dayworks helps bridge the gap with available, verified trade professionals until your own hiring catches up.

06

Planned temporary workforce

Scheduled phases, shutdowns and commercial maintenance rounds can be staffed ahead of time, from one extra operative for facilities maintenance to a full crew for a planned fit-out.

The Dayworks model

Request. Match. Confirm. Work.

  1. 01

    Request

Tell us the trade, headcount, location and dates. One short request, no payment at this step.

  2. 02

    Activate

Review your requirement, accept the Business Terms and pay the €70 + VAT Connection Fee. Payment activates the Dayworks search for one contractor connection.

  3. 03

    Search

Dayworks staff personally search the verified network for a suitable available contractor, and check availability with them.

  4. 04

    Work

We complete the professional introduction. Rates, workforce arrangements and the underlying construction work are agreed directly between the businesses.

Every match is made and confirmed by Dayworks staff, by hand. There is no automated matching and no bidding. Dayworks makes the connection. The businesses manage the work.

A typical request

Two painters, Dublin, tomorrow.

Construction workers discussing plans on site in safety gear

A contractor in Dublin needs two painters on site tomorrow morning. They send one short request: trade, headcount, location, start date and duration. A member of Dayworks staff checks availability with painters in the network, confirms day rates and paperwork, and calls back with a confirmed crew.

No posting a job. No bids to sift through. No paid leads. One €70 + VAT Connection Fee activates the search, and it is the same fee whether that contractor supplies one professional or an available crew.

What you get

Six things Dayworks stands for

01

Verified professionals

Every tradesperson on Dayworks has their trade, experience, references and relevant safety documentation checked by our staff before they are offered work.

02

Transparent day rates

Each tradesperson sets their own rate for Scheduled, Short Notice and Out-of-Hours work, agreed up front. Nothing to negotiate on the morning of the job.

03

Scheduled and short notice

Book planned work ahead of time, or ring us next-day. The same manual process covers both, so short notice never means a scramble.

04

No bidding

You state what you need once. Dayworks staff come back with a confirmed connection, not a pile of competing messages.

05

No paid leads for tradespeople

Tradespeople are never charged for introductions. You set your own rates and say yes or no to each confirmed connection.

06

Commercial construction focused

Dayworks is built for commercial sites and contractors across the Republic of Ireland, with a network that covers all main trades.

Trade to trade

Know a tradesperson who wants steady work?

Much of our network grew the honest way: one tradesperson recommending Dayworks to the next. Working tradespeople can point mates towards us, and we support trade-to-trade referrals because a crew you would vouch for is exactly the crew we want on site. Companies and tradespeople can both make an introduction, and our staff take it from there.

Rate 3

Out-of-Hours

Evening, weekend and holiday work at the tradesperson’s own out-of-hours rate, agreed before anyone travels to site.
